I know water towers serve an important purpose in society, but do they have to be so boring to look at? NO! At least, not in Ogallala, Nebraska, they don't!
This is the most non-boring, cleverly painted water tower I've seen in quite a while, and I like it!
Thumbs up for creativity!
ReplyDeleteWhat you call "water tower" we in small-town-middle-America call "UFO". Did you experience any "lost moments" as you drove by? If you ask me, this is all very Area-51.
ReplyDeletePS. Maybe "the government" already got to you and THAT'S why you are calling it a "water tower"?
ReplyDeleteCari, I think you've watched way too many episodes of X-Files. Just because there were scorch marks on the grass, and crop circles in the cornfield, and band-aids on the cows grazing nearby, and I had a bit of short-term memory loss that day, it's all just a coincidence.
ReplyDeleteNives, exactly! It's all-in-good-fun artistic creativity. Pay no attention to Cari's UFO-anoia.
Band-Aids on the cows!! Now that's something that should be investigated.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I bet the water in Ogallala tastes out of this world!
The band-aids on the cows, ahem, joke, was an obscure reference to cow mutilations, reported here and there over the past several decades, that were linked to extraterrestrials. It's gory, but legit. And it's understandable that, being from small-town-middle-America, maybe you've never heard of it ; )
ReplyDeleteWater tasting "out of this world". Ha! Good one!
The next time you are bored check out the one in Collinsville.:)
ReplyDeleteSweetie,
ReplyDeleteYou have had moments of memory loss for years, trust me it's not the aliens fault : )
Love

Kendra: Is it still there? ; ) Actually, I posted about that one back on December 13, 2009. It's my all-time favorite water tower!
ReplyDeleteTo the alien posing as GG: Man up and take the blame!
To the real GG, in case it's not an alien posing as GG: At least I still remember how to parallel park. Can you say the same?
HEY, that is an unfair statement since I NEVER knew how to parallel park. It's not like I knew then forgot. So HA, and once again HA HA and HA! : )
ReplyDeleteLove,
GG
I'm almost afraid to ask, but I will anyway...how did you manage to pass your driving test without knowing how to parallel park?
ReplyDeleteDear BB,
ReplyDeleteI know it's been many years since you took your test; ) So I will refresh your memory. You just get points knocked off, and as long as you still have enough points for the rest of your test you pass! Yeah me. Parrallel parking is so highly overrated anyway. You just go in frontwards if you have enough room, or just park in one of those big open parking lots, and voila problem solved! I so wanted to make a comment about parking lots, but I better be good ; )
Love,
Your GG
So, what would you do if you drove up to an amazing garage sale where you desperately wanted to browse and shop, and it was a parallel parking only situation?
ReplyDeleteAnd hey, ixnay on the parking lot comment. Someday, I am going to write a best selling book on my parking lot adventures.
LOL, I don't think most people are ready to read about your parking lot adventures! No parrallel parking needed at a garage sale silly boy. But I would park a mile away and walk for a good sale : ) Parrallel parking is just not a mandatory part of life : ) : ) : )
