Maine Sign Post-Card

It's not every day that I get a cool postcard from a self-described "girlie motorcycle rider", but that day came recently and here it is! Thanks a ton, Rachael aka Fuzzygalore. :)

Back of card says:
World renowned, this signpost at Lynchville, Maine, points out the direction and the distances to Maine communities.

Nana nana nana nana nana nana nana nana, BATMAN!

Jim Thorpe Mausoleum Postcard

I'm celebrating #JimThorpeThursday with this beautiful postcard from my Instagram friend, RobMerica.

Card says: "Final Resting Place - Jim Thorpe, All American. Located along Rt. 903, Jim Thorpe, PA, this 20 ton granite mausoleum perpetuates the memory of the noted American Indian athlete...."
"....Centerpiece is appraisal of Thorpe by King Gustav of Sweden after the 1912 Olympics - Sir, you are the greatest athlete in the world."

Such a cool card! Extra bonus is this Shirley Temple stamp. :)

Many thanks, Rob!

Longreach, Australia, Postcard

Longreach, Australia, is situated in the heart of Queensland's outback on Thomson River and is named after the river's "long reach".

The town has a population of 3000+ and is on the Tropic of Capricorn.

Thanks so much for another beautiful Australian postcard, Dawn! I'm learning more about your country by the day! :)

Sanford, Florida Postcard

Glenda, another IG friend, sent this pretty card of Magnolia Square Fountain, Sanford, Florida.

She wrote that every Thursday there's an event at the square called, "Alive After Five", and then every Saturday, a farmer's market is set up. Sounds really nice!

Thanks very much, Glenda. :)

Western Australia Postcard

Another card from a sweet group of IGers that I swapped with. This one is from Sue.

Back of card says: Northampton Railway siding in 1929. The Loco is an O Class 82 with N class funnel.

I have NO idea what that means, but it's a cool card from Australia! :)

Pretty stamp.
Thanks so much, Sue! :)
