Postcrossing Meet Up Postcard

I got a few cool surprises from Brenda recently!

The first was this card from a Postcrossing meet up at Bongo's Cafe in Orlando, Florida.

The back of the card was signed by all of the attendees.

A meet up + Florida = a great time!

Thanks so much, Brenda. :)

Patriotic Face Painting Postcard

I really like unusual cards like this.

Big thanks to Denise for spotting it in my Postcrossing favorites and sending my way!

Pretty lighthouse stamp with no cancellation marks on it.

Outgoing Broom Label Postcard

US-1992361
Marleen in Netherlands listed vintage and nostalgic pictures on her Postcrossing profile. So, I chose this little beauty for her. No, really. I chose this "Little Beauty" for her. :)

I found it at the WY Territorial Prison State Historic Site in Laramie, of all places.

The back of the card says that inmates at the WY State Penitentiary made brooms for the Laramie Broom Company. Sounds like it was a sweeping success! Ha!

Outgoing 50,000 Silver Dollars Collection Postcard

 US-1958830
I was actually visiting this bar in Montana, to see the gigantic silver dollar collection, when I mailed the postcard to Haunani in Hawaii.

She seemed pretty easy going as far as what topics interested her, so I decided to share this extremely unique sight from my trip. : )

How ironic that the stamp I bought at the attached gift shop was Hawaiian-themed!

Outgoing Wyoming Postcard

US-1116073
This Wyoming collage card was sent out to the Phillipines a long time ago.  May of 2011, to be exact.
Sadly, it was one of those cards that was never registered for whatever reason.

Outgoing Air Force One Postcard

US-1491507
Back in January, this card went all the way to Fiona in Australia. She said she worked in the aviation industry and requested aviation-related postcards.

When she registered it, she mentioned that she had an upcoming month-long trip to the US in April, and was excited about it. I hope it went well for her!

<----Aviation-related stamps way over there on the left.

Outgoing St. Louis Arch Postcard

US-1482050
Fanyi in Taiwan didn't have much to go by in his Postcrossing profile, so I chose this pretty Springtime view of the Arch grounds in St. Louis, Missouri, to send his way.

Outgoing Artsy Postcard

 US-1466147
Gracie in Nebraska, USA, got this artsy card. In her profile, she said she is passionate about arts and crafts of all sorts, so I thought this might be a good one for her.

I guess this would be considered an "abstract" of the Washington Monument in Washington D.C.

 <-----Artsy stamps!

Outgoing Graceland Postcard

US-1511719
And the finale of the "back in January" series is this card of Graceland, home of Elvis Presley. It is now in Italy, with Claudia. I can't recall why I chose this particular card for her. I must have seen it in her favorites.

Outgoing St. Louis Arch Postcard

US-1511845
Two more "back in January" cards! This pretty view of the Arch in St. Louis didn't travel very far at all. Desiree lives in Missouri, a neighboring state.

Outgoing Minnesota Loons Postcard

US-1511098
Yet another "back in January" card! I found this MN Loon ducks card in Sigrid's favorites. I happened to have that same card on hand. No brainer time, off it went to Germany.

Outgoing Romantic Postcard

US-1511459
Back in January (again), this card made its way to Agnes in China. Romantic cards was one of her requests.

Ok, so the stamps aren't romantic. But, she did say she loved Italian soccer. : )

Outgoing Texas Horses Postcard

US-1511926
Another "back in January" card, this one made its way to Mario in Poland. I chose it because it combined two of his loves, horses and mountains.

He also likes dogs, photography and the color green. It's fun to add a little extra customization with the right stamps. : )

Outgoing Buckin' Horse Postcard

US-1511362
Back in January, (I think I'm stuck in "back in January" mode right now), I sent this spunky horse to Alena in United Kingdom.
When I read this part of her wish list in her profile:
"Horses, running horse, leaping horses, walking horses, laughing horses, angry horses - any horses ... No other animals, please."....
...I knew the exact card I was going to send.

I was happy to read that Alena is a dog lover, too.

Back in January, I got this very cool and unusual postcard...it's nothing but dog stickers!
Terrific card.  Thanks a bunch, Tiina.

Outgoing Mt. Rushmore Postcard

US-1511654
This one was just registered today by Olya in Belarus. 47 travel days. I had totally forgotten about it.

I chose this card for her because she listed "famous places in your country" on her list of favorites.

Pup and Goldfish Postcard from Bulgaria

BG-11268
This cute card was a surprise when it arrived from Diana in Bulgaria, I wasn't expecting any officials. No wonder. It was dated January 8, and arrived March 1 .....57 days!

Nice stamps.

Diana also sent a 2nd bonus card! How nice was that?!  It's a funky deer head....I guess?

It's pretty cool when you can dig into the internet and find out more about the artist behind the art.

Dalmation & Dolphins Postcards

TW-45691
At first glance, this looks like an actual Polaroid photograph. But, it's actually a nice little doggy postcard from yi-jhen in Taiwan. And I DO mean little. It measures only 4 1/4" x 3 1/2"!  Love it.

She even added these two great dog stamps...a labrador and a pomeranian!  Thanks, yi-jhen.

 NL-1019212
Wow! From Rietie in Netherlands, four dolphins jumping in unison in the surf. Super card!

And my first Postcrossing stamp. Very cool. Big thanks, Rietie!

Panama Postcard PA-667

PA-667
A beautiful postcard from Panama! What a treat to find this rare creature in my mailbox. Look at that low, low number "667". Very cool.

Thanks very much, Yanireth!

Very nice stamps, too.
