Honor Flight 93

Photos showing the point of impact on September 11, 2001, and what the memorial will look like upon completion.

Access to the site is restricted to family members of the victims. Other than the sounds of construction, it's very quiet and solemn.
National Park Service personnel are on hand to assist and answer questions.

Flags left by visitors at observation point.

Building used as makeshift command post after the crash.

Temporary exhibits inside the building.

Small sampling of the huge quantities of archived memorabilia left by visitors.

Thanks for sharing about this. I didn't even realize they were making a memorial site there.
