Copenhagen, Denmark & Tallinn, Estonia Postcards

Jaana, my postcard swappin' buddy from Finland, recently did some traveling. She sent me these 2 beautiful cards to make me jealous ; )

The first is this lovely multi-view from Copenhagen Denmark. Pretty cool to now have in my possession a card showing the famous Little Mermaid statue!

And the 2nd card was this equally lovely multi-view of Tallinn, Estonia. Those are some awesome crashing waves at the bottom.

Thanks very much for both cards, Jaana!

I really like this mailbox stamp.

Just curious: Is there a story about the mermaid statue that makes her famous?

It's based on the fairy tale, "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Andersen.
It debuted in the Copenhagen harbor in 1913. Somewhere along the way, it became a Copenhagen icon, and a major tourist attraction.

Why yes, we sure did. By the way, did you know that even mermaids can parallel park down on the ocean floor? Just sayin'.
