I received this dollar bill as change on a recent trip. Red printing on U.S. currency is not normal, but I knew immediately what the red printing said and what it was about: Where's George?
www.wheresgeorge.com is a website designed to track U.S. currency. It's just a fun little hobby for anyone who wants to take the time to mark up some money, put it back into circulation, and then wait for someone else (like me) to receive it, and then register it at the website.
From what I have read, there are web sites established to track money in Canada, UK and Europe, too.
So, anyway, I registered the dollar and found out that it began its WG journey in Tennessee. I spent it and sent it on its way here in Illinois today!
