On a recent trip way out west, as I was approaching Wikieup, Arizona, I noticed this eye-catcher on the side of the road.
I had to stop for a closer look.
Well, looky here....it's a Snoopy family riding a rocket out in the desert!
And Woodstock, too!
I don't know if there is a specific meaning for Snoopy, a rocket, and Wikieup, Arizona, but it sure is a unique way to welcome travelers to Wikieup. : )

This "sign" has been in Wikeup since at least the 1980's, maybe even before that. For many years I drove the route between Phoenix and Las Vegas many times each year, and when I reached this spot I knew that I had reached the halfway point between the two cities. There used to be a lot of cool things to see all up and down Highway 93, and I wish I had stopped to photograph them.
This may be the last summer to catch this sight. We own it...and it is most likely coming down and being moved to Montana....if we can figure how to get it moved without spending a fortune.
