GRRUMPY

I spotted this plate in Opelika, Alabama.

It's perfect for Mondays! Ha!

LV PINK

Thank goodness for vanity plates. Otherwise, we would not know that the owner of this car loves pink!

You know what's really amusing about this? There's a "LVPINK 1" out there somewhere!

Vanity Plates, Part 11

Some vanity plates I've spotted this month:

"PAR4MEE"
A decent golfer drives this Mercedes.

These next 3 plates, when read together, makes me laugh.

"SUMBODY"

"SPOONED"

"HOBBIT"

Vanity Plates, Part 10

And, finally, to wrap things up, last but not least, a vanity plate belonging to someone well known in the postcard community! Brenda, of 9teen87's Postcards blog, patiently waited a long time to get this plate.

It's the name of her blog, and the year in which she was married. Very cool!  Thanks for sharing, Brenda!

Vanity Plates, Part 9

This could be short for "The Beetle", but it's not, since it's a PT Cruiser, not a VW Beetle.  I'm guessing it's the car's name, since it's beet-colored.

And here we, apparently, have a happy parent enjoying the empty nesting phase of his/her life.

I like this one. To me, it says "laid back and carefree".

Vanity Plates, Part 8

This one is great! An obviously loyal fan of my beloved St. Louis Cardinals!

GO CARDS!!

At first, I thought this was a displaced Chicago Cubs fan, or perhaps, a fan of nudist beaches.
But the frame tells the true story......

....A proud fan of the California Golden Bears of the University of California.

This one was spotted in Pennsylvania, there's no shortage of university pride across the country.

Penn State University.
The trailer hitch cover is a nice added touch.

Vanity Plates, Part 7

This is a great plate for Ohio's winters, but not so much for summertime.

I'm stumped on this one.

Ok, trying again, is anyone, besides ME, old enough to remember Family Ties and Spin City? Those are just a couple of the tv shows that closed with the line "Sit Ubu, sit."

That's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this plate.

Vanity Plates, Part 6

Spotted this one in Nevada.

An Annie Oakely reference on a Cadillac Escalade. No clue.

This one is great!

I'm guessing that since "BIG BANG THEORY LOVER" wouldn't fit, they settled for this.

Being a dog lover, I love this one.

Lassie! Anyone else, besides me, old
enough to remember the Lassie TV show?

Vanity Plates, Part 5

"Vanity Plates" continues due to popular demand (Cari) ;)

These are the ones that bug me.

What does it MEAN?!

These are the ones I like.

Clearly understandable!

Vanity Plates, Part 4

Yeah, I know, I know...I'm getting tired of these vanity plate posts, too. Just one more, so bear with me, please. :)

Here's a pink car that should get hooked up with the "ITHNKPNK" plate from the previous post.

Looky here! It's ANOTHER "PURRRR" plate from a different state! I just happened to notice it in my travel photos.

What're the chances of spotting the same plate in two different states?!

Vanity Plates, Part 2

Personally, I am not a fan of the color yellow on cars, but if someone likes it, good for them.

UV Rays + convertible car = sun worshipper?

Are these Cube cars the shape of cars to come?

Probably not, if we all DOOMED!

Wild guess...a bee keeper?

Even better than a matching plate frame is a giant matching decal on the tailgate!

A dedicated fan of the St. Louis Blue hockey team....which just so happens to be in the playoffs right now!

Yes! Go Blues!

Star Trek fan? William Shatner fan?

Vanity Plate

Most times that I spy an amusing vanity plate, it's on a car that's zooming past me in the passing lane...like the Hummer with the "BIG FUN" plate.  It usually means no photo op.

But, this time I did catch one!

Cat lover, I'm guessing.

It's even better when there's a frame around the plate that matches it. This one has little paw prints all over it.
