ABBA The Museum Postcard

This just in, literally...from Sweden to Finland to US!

Jaana so very kindly shared a piece of her holiday to Sweden with me, by way of this fantastic ABBA postcard!
She visited the ABBA Museum, and said it was great. :)

Thanks very much, my friend!

Great stickers and stamp!

Million Dollar Quartet Postcard, Part 2

Soooo, back on January 21, I posted this postcard as part of my Elvis Presley 80th Birthday 2/3 Month celebration.

Then, just a few days ago, I get an email advertising a broadway show called "Million Dollar Quartet".  Whaaaat?!

Apparently I live under a rock, because I did not know that for the past several years there has been a hit broadway show all about the Million Dollar Quartet!!  Pretty cool!

Piano Keys Postcard

I love black and white postcards, and postcards of random things.

FUN FACT: I can't play the piano, but I did once try to learn how to play the banjo. I failed miserably. :)

Happy Sunday!

New Orleans, Louisiana, Postcard

Backside says: "On a stroll through the streets of the French Quarter, the sultry sounds of jazz permeate the air".

New Orleans is one of my favorite cities to visit.
Oh, how I love this card!

Scottish Pipeband Postcard

At first glance, I thought these were the mean ol' guards from the wicked witch's castle in the Wizard of Oz movie. (see picture below. There's a resemblance, right?)  :)

BUT, this is, actually, a traditional Scottish pipeband performing at Traquair House (the oldest continually inhabited house, dating back to 1107) in Scotland!

Great card to add to the collection!

Standin' On A Corner In Winslow, Arizona

I had the chance to stop in Winslow, Arizona, recently. Amongst all the great postcards I grabbed during my visit, this card featured the "standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona" scene described in the popular 1972 song "Take It Easy" by the Eagles.

The town of Winslow actually did create a "corner" to memorialize the song.

It was cool to see a steady trickle of tourists stopping by and snapping pictures of the "corner".

Winslow, Arizona, is located along historic Route 66, which makes it even more enticing for sightseers to stop by for a visit.

Dolly Parton Postcard

Big, big, BIG thanks to Denise for sending this lovely card. It brightened my day and put a big, big, BIG smile on my
big-big-BIG-fan-of-Dolly-Parton face. :)

Harry Potter stamp. I'm guessing that Harry is a big, big, BIG Dolly fan, too!
