Elvis Favorite Food Postcard

Here we go with Day 11 of Elvis' 80th Birthday 2/3 Month!

We all know the PB&J, right?  Well, this is the PB&B, one of Elvis' favorite foods, peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

I don't think I could eat one of those things even if Elvis himself made it and handed it to me on a solid gold plate. :)

Amish Tomato

Another recent Amish experience: I stopped at a seriously tiny store on a road trip in Illinois. It was packed with lots of goodies. I was told most everything came from the Amish. I bought some tomatoes....and candy. The candy didn't even make it home. :) But, the tomatoes did!

Can you guess which is the Amish tomato and which is home grown from O'Neal's only-one-tiny-tomato-plant-garden?? Take your time. I know it's hard to tell. ;)

Sweet Potato Chips

I just tried these sweet potato chips as a road trip snack.
Not sure I'm a fan yet.
Maybe eating the whole bag, as if they were maple nut goodies, was not such a good idea. :)

National Oatmeal Nut Waffles Day

It's National Oatmeal Nut Waffles Day! Yay!
Seriously, it is. I'm not kidding this time.

I found this neat tutuorial on how-to-make-a-waffle-postcard. So, if you're reading this, please make a waffle postcard and mail it to someone... that someone should be me, of course. :)

Hotel Breakfast

Mmmm good.
I don't know what fancy shmancy hotels offer for breakfast, because I'm a cheap ass and stay at mid-priced/budget hotels on road trips. This means mostly bare bones continental stuff or nothing at all, except coffee...which irks me, since I'm not a coffee drinker.
But sometimes, there's good stuff! Like omelettes, and biscuits and gravy....

....and yogurt and bagels and bananas, which are awesome for amusement purposes, when bored. :)

Road Trip Snacks

Let's talk snacks!
My road trip snacks vary widely. I try to stick with different trail mixes and dried fruit.  But, sometimes, it's crazy stuff like warm, soft salt-less pretzels and king size Butterfingers.
Now you know. :)

And...GO CARDINALS!
(Series tied again 2-2)
