Big Fish On A Stick

I kinda have a thing for oddball roadside attractions. There, I said it. So, this giant fishy got me all excited when I found it in Clarks Grove, Minnesota!

It's a big ol' walleye.
It's fiberglass.
It's 35 years old.
It's had numerous random stickers slapped on it, over the years, by other passersby.
It's so very PERFECT! :)

Honduras Postcard

Fresh out of the mailbox! Brenda and family went on a vacation to Honduras, and she was nice enough to send this cool postcard my way.

How she found time to go scuba diving and mail off postcards while there, I don't know, but I'm glad she did. :)

Nice stamp of Pope John Paul II.

Thanks very much, Brenda!

Pup and Goldfish Postcard from Bulgaria

BG-11268
This cute card was a surprise when it arrived from Diana in Bulgaria, I wasn't expecting any officials. No wonder. It was dated January 8, and arrived March 1 .....57 days!

Nice stamps.

Diana also sent a 2nd bonus card! How nice was that?!  It's a funky deer head....I guess?

It's pretty cool when you can dig into the internet and find out more about the artist behind the art.

Incoming and Outgoing Postcards

Love this one.....
Herbie the Love Bug!
Thank you so much, Edith.

From Darlene in California.
"Friendship Fountain. A family of dolphins leaps high among the visitors to Santa Barbara's waterfront. This graceful sculpture, by local artist Bud Bottoms, recalls the Chumash Indian tradition of kinship with these gentle sea mammals."

 US-1106675
Sent this one to Dale in Wisconsin. I don't think it matched up very well with any of his preferences, but at least he said the Phoenix ship stamp was interesting!

<---Interesting Phoenix ship stamp over there on the left.

Lynn928 in China said beautiful scenery of my country would be good. Naturally, I sent her this card of flat, mountainless Illinois farmland...because.. well... it IS scenic... no matter what bragging people who live in mountainous states think!

US-1103151
Sent this fishy card to Sarah in Indiana.
I did a better job matching one of her preferences than I did with poor Dale in Wisconsin.

Fishy stamp!

Rachmi in Indonesia loves cooking. Among her wishes were recipes. Match!

Sent Postcards to United Kingdom US-795959

Gail is interested in science and natural history. I bet she would have loved seeing the Texas tarantula up close and personal.
Oh, and she has pet rats, too!

Sent her a couple extras because I was a bad, bad Postcrosser and was very late in sending out a bunch of official cards.
