Kos town, Greece, Postcard

Guess who went to Greece?! No, not me. :)
Jaana did! And she very kindly took the time to mail off this beautiful card of Kos town while she was there. It took almost a full month to arrive, but that's ok, at least it did finally arrive!

Look at that awesome snow-covered mountain. I LOVE it. I tried translating the text on the stamp, the only two words I managed to coax out of Google Translate were "GREEK REPUBLIC". The rest was gibberish. But hey! Look at that awesome snow-covered mountain!

Big, big thanks, Jaana. :)

Lenticular Clouds

First off, I LOVE clouds, all clouds, any kind of clouds!

This stunning postcard features not only a bright full moon, and majestic Mt. Rainier in Washington, but also, a great example of a smooth lenticular cloud.

They form at high altitude over mountains.

Living in the midwest part of the US, I don't routinely get to see mountains. But, whenever I travel to where there ARE mountains, I am thrilled!

A month ago, I was way, way beyond thrilled when I spotted this lenticular cloud formation over some mountains in Montana!

It looks like a tall stack of pancakes. If I hadn't already had breakfast, I would have gone straight to I.H.O.P to celebrate! :)

Old Fashioned Social Networking

GG sent me this nifty postcard that fits me to a "T". Pick up trucks, a pooch, awesome mountains, shootin' the breeze out in the middle of nowhere. Ahhhh, nirvana.

Thanks a bunch, GG. I love your cards, as always.

Sent Postcards to Poland US-810123

Karolina and Tomek love mountains. Sent them this one of Maroon Bells, near Aspen, Colorado.

Also, sent them two extra cards to make up for mailing their official card so late. They mentioned night views, monuments, and characteristic view of my city. This card of Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri fits all three!

And finally, Karolina loves animals.

More Incoming Postcards!

Another great batch of cards from dearest GG. She sent this one to rub it in that she was at the beach having a blast, and I wasn't.

She sent this one from the beach also, supposedly because she thought it was interesting. But really, it was just another tease that she was at the beach having a fabulous time, and I wasn't.

She sent this one simply to give me a serious case of mountain envy, because she gets to see beautifully stunning mountain views every single day, and I don't.

She sent this one because, well, like most women, she was totally crabby that day!

And lastly, she sent this one because of her disturbingly warped sense of humor. Ha ha!
You KNOW I love all the cards you send, GG. Thanks a million!
