Blue Moon 2015

Did you see it? The blue moon of 2015?
If not, here's what it looked like. It looked pretty much like the non-blue moon from the night before. :)

It's the first one since 2012, and the last one until 2018.

Taken with my trusty little point-and-shoot Canon Power Shot SX 210 IS. (I think the more numbers and letters that are in a product's name, the more impressive it seems, and the more it costs.)

July 20, 1969

Forty-six years ago today yesterday, July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the moon.

This postcard features a photo of Buzz Aldrin taken by Neil Armstrong. I found it, and some other really nice postcards, at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio, earlier this year. :)

Harvest Moon 2012

It's harvest moon time. Well, its WAS harvest moon time. I was fortunate enough to be near clear skies the last few days of September. Catching it while still low on the horizon, huge and orange-ish in color, was simply stunning. UNfortunately, I didn't get any decent photos of it looking that way.

Last Night's Moon

Clear skies last night.
Couldn't resist trying to take a decent picture of a nice, big, bright half moon.
Not half bad!
Get it? "Not HALF bad"
Ha ha. I crack myself up!
