17 Deer!

Oh yeah! 17! Not one, not two, but SEVENTEEN DEER!

 I spotted these beauties yesterday in Alton, Illinois. It was the highlight of my day!

Blue Heron

I love spotting and watching wildlife, especially when I'm not even looking for it. I was viewing a beautiful sunset recently, and noticed this lone blue heron standing in a nearby, ugly, under-construction lake bed.
 The muddy lake bed was instantly transformed into a scene of beauty and peacefulness simply because of the lone blue heron, it's reflection, and the sunset's reflection on the water. Amazing.
